A prisoner from Ipswich is set to appear in court accused of attempted murder.
Aklakur Rahman, 37, will appear at the Old Bailey in London for a plea hearing on Friday, May 24, after being charged with 15 offences.
The offences include the attempted murder of five prison officers, two at HMP Swaleside and three at Belmarsh prison, between September and October 2022.
Rahman, formerly of Ipswich, is also charged with six counts of assaulting an emergency worker and four counts of possessing an article with a blade or point in prison, namely a piece of plastic with a sharp point.
