Megan, a two-year-old ex-racing greyhound, is looking for her forever home.

She was taken into care after starting her life as a racing greyhound in Suffolk.

Since arriving at the Blue Cross site in Ipswich she has started to show her character.

Staff at the centre said she is a "really sweet dog" who is very intelligent and loves to play with her toys. She also has a bit of a cheeky streak.

Megan is looking for a patient and loving home where she can enjoy a good daily run in a secure garden and sleep on a nice comfy bed.

A spokeswoman for the RSPCA said: "Megan is a really sweet dog. She can be a little reserved around new people but once she knows you her character really starts to show.

"When she feels relaxed enough she loves to play, she will race around after a ball or soft teddy and lay down for a good nibble on it.

"She is getting more comfortable in our home areas now too and is confident enough to rummage in her toy tub and enjoys a cosy sleep on her duvets in her extra-large crate too.

"Megan is looking for a quiet and predictable home environment where she can enjoy a good daily run in a secure garden and sleep her time away on some nice comfy beds.

"She can become over-aroused in her play and greetings with other dogs so will need continued guidance and management in this area.

"Megan could possibly live with older children but no cats or small furry pets due to a high prey drive."
