Suffolk is home to a number of wonderful beaches, but have you visited this one that ticks all the right boxes?
Here are just some reasons why you should visit Sizewell beach.
Free Parking.
A trial which started in March last year has been renewed, giving people the chance to park for free at the beach.
The scheme was supported by Sizewell C's European Sites Mitigation Fund, who provided top up funding, which brought the grant to £43,500 last year.
Sandy beach
Given how lovely all the beaches are in the county you will do well to find a quiet one.
However, Sizewell isn't commonly known to be as busy as some of the others nearby Southwold and Aldeburgh.
Sizewell beach has sandy and pebbled areas, to suit everyone, there are also small dunes with grasses to hide behind if the weather turns.
Tea room
Next to the beach and car park is Sizewell Tea, a small tearoom with seating inside and out.
Open Friday to Sunday, they serve hot and cold drinks as well as hot food, cakes and ice creams.
Nearby pub
A five minute walk from the car park will lead you to the Vulcan Arms, a traditional pub.
They serve a carvery and roast on weekends, as well as offering a three course menu throughout the week.
They also have a caravan site attached which is accredited by the Caravan Club.
Park Run
On Saturdays Sizewell Park Run also starts by the car park and winds round the many footpaths through the heath land and dunes.
On a clear day the views will be worth the effort of running, with a chance to go to the tea room afterwards.
