A Suffolk MP has raised concerns about the impact of US tariffs on one of the county's ports in parliament.
Suffolk Coastal MP Jenny Riddell-Carpenter called on the secretary of state for trade, Jonathan Reynolds, to provide reassurances to her constituents that British jobs, trade and consumers will be protected from 10% tariffs imposed by US president Donald Trump.
She said: "The Port of Felixstowe is the UK’s busiest container shipping port in the UK.

"Though we import more than we export, we are also the ninth largest exporter in the UK.
"The USA market is important for our local and national trading market.
"Last night’s news will likely have a significant impact on the global trading markets and it is not exaggeration to say that it could have the potential to change the global trade consensus of the last 80 years."
