Plans for signage at a new Tesco Express in a Suffolk village have been submitted.

On June 13, Tesco applied for a new premises license at in Moses Walk in Great Blakenham, near Ipswich, to Mid Suffolk District Council.

While that application is still in progress, the supermarket giant has now added plans for signage at the site.

The plans include adding three signs to the exterior of the building, one of which will be 27.55 metres wide.

It will also see eight advertisement panels put in place along the side of the building.

Meanwhile, a new double-sided gantry welcoming visitors from the road with opening times and 'Hello' &'Goodbye' signage would be installed facing the road.

This comes as Budgens recently withdrew plans to add additional staff parking at the site after concerns were raised from the council about traffic in the area.

Documents say the store is worth around £59,000 and it opened in October 2018, forty years after the last village shop closed.

The license plans, if approved, would see the store operate from 7am to 11pm from Monday to Sunday, with limited changes expected for the structure and layout of the building.
