A supermarket giant has announced it will be opening a new superstore on the Suffolk border on Thursday.
The Tesco store is scheduled to open in Weavers Court, on Halstead High Street, at 8am.
The grand opening comes as the former co-op store closed in late March and Tesco took over the site.

Ahead of opening, a Tesco spokesperson said: “We are delighted to be opening our new Halstead Superstore and begin serving the local community.
"The store will feature an F&F clothing section and an in-store bakery, whilst our shelves will also feature a wide range of delicious fresh produce and value-packed meal deals.
"We are also thrilled to be part of the Tesco Stronger Starts grant scheme, which provides essential funding to schools, charities, and other local good causes.”
The new store will take part in the community food connection scheme, which gives surplus food to charities and community volunteers at the end of each day.
The store will be open from 7am until 10pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
