A football club is hoping to attract the "best talent in the area" after securing funds to install new facilities.

Halesworth Town Football Club was awarded a grant by the Premier League Stadium Fund for new floodlights

Work on the floodlights at the club's Dairy Hill ground will start next week and it is hoped it will be completed by September 19.

Club chairman Carl Chennery said: "We are delighted to have secured funding from the Premier League for the installation of floodlights at Dairy Hill.

"We have seen a big positive impact at the club and around the community since entering into non-league football for the first time.

"These added facilities will further improve our chances of attracting the best talent in the area and bringing more youngsters through our youth system to come to play at Halesworth Town Football Club.

“We are now looking into partnership opportunities with local businesses and the local community in helping us deliver our next project which will be a seated stand at Dairy Hill."
