A supermarket chain has announced it will use self-service following an armed robbery.
Tesco Express, in Turnpike Road, Red Lodge, was attended by police at 10.50pm on Sunday after three masked men armed with sledgehammers and crowbars entered the shop.
During the robbery, the suspects pushed past staff and made threats towards them, before stealing various items, including the tills, meat, tobacco, and alcohol, police confirmed.
After leaving the building, the group of men made off in a white Ford Transit van.
The shop now has a notice outside which says: "To all customers,
"Due to the events that happened on Sunday night, we will only have the self-serve checkouts open and will only be taking card payments.
"We will not be selling any tobacco, vapes, nicotine pouches, spirits and lottery-related products.
"We do apologise for all of the inconvenience this will cause.
"Please be patient and courteous towards our colleagues and all other customers."
Tesco colleagues will remain at the store to help with self-checkouts but will not man the tills.

A Tesco spokesperson said: “Our colleagues work hard to serve our customers every day, and every member of our team deserves to feel safe at work.
"We continue to assist the police with their inquiries following the recent incident at our Red Lodge Express.”
