When it comes to researching holidays, it can be difficult to know where to begin. That’s why East of England Co-op Travel branch managers from across the region have come together to share their experiences.
From the bustling markets in Marrakesh to the historical sights of Dubrovnik, the world is filled with destinations that offer unforgettable experiences.
Here are three of the most unmissable holiday destinations you can book to visit this year.
Dubrovnik, Croatia
Croatians take great pride in their cultural heritage. According to Julie Cook from the Burnham-on-Crouch East of England Co-op Travel branch, Dubrovnik should be a strong contender for this year’s holiday destination.
“One of the best ways to appreciate Dubrovnik is by going to Panorama Restaurant by cable car to soak in the view over the city while enjoying Mediterranean food,” she said.

“The historic walled city comes into its own at night, with bustling streets and a variety of restaurants, bars and shops to visit.
“I’d also recommend visiting The 14th century Rector’s Palace in the centre of the city, as it is a great way to learn about Dubrovnik’s history.
“Marco Polo is a brilliant family restaurant to visit if you want to enjoy Dalmatian food in the walled part of the city,” Julia added. “It has a beautiful courtyard and fantastic ambience.”

British Columbia, Canada
From Vancouver Island to Deep Cove to Grouse Mountain, British Colombia is jam-packed with attractions. That’s what makes it the top pick for Debbie Wilby from the Brightlingsea East of England Co-op Travel branch.

“If you haven’t travelled to British Colombia, then I would recommend it for a long-haul holiday unlike any other,” she said. “Vancouver is a beautiful place that has wildlife parks, harbour towns and it is home to British Colombia’s capital, Victoria.
“I’ve visited Canada seven times and it’s a great place to begin exploring this vast country.”

Marrakesh, Morrocco
With a rich culture, history and easy access to the Atlas Mountains, Marrakesh is Maldon East of England Co-op Travel branch manager Alison Nay’s top pick for 2026.
“Marrakesh is perfect for a romantic getaway – Menare Gardens and Jardin Majorelle are personal highlights. I’d also recommend visiting Jemaa el-Fna square as it’s a vibrant, bustling market where snake charmers, fortune tellers and trance dancers perform. You can buy some lovely souvenirs, too.

“I would highly recommend visiting Comptoir des Mines Galerie and going for a meal at Nomad,” Alison said. “Its menu has a modern take on Moroccan cuisine and a focus on fresh, local seasonal ingredients that sets it apart.”
