A Suffolk beach has been named one of the cleanest in the UK.
The Daily Express revealed the top six cleanest beaches in the country for summer swimming without the risk of gulping sewage mid-breast stroke.
Southwold beach was included in the list ranking at number six.
This beach was praised for having a "classy town" with "well-looked after pastel-painted beach huts, standing next to its tasteful pier with unique, old-penny-operated arcade games".

Describing Southwold, The Daily Express said: "Filled with Georgian houses, a lighthouse and a few Adnams pubs, you have the perfect recipe for a refined day by the sea.
"There are two beaches: the Denes, a sand and shingle beach backed by scrubby dunes, and Southwold Pier beach. The latter is more crowded but the sea is cleaner - here the bathing waters are classified as excellent."
Last year, the beach was also named among the top six beaches in the UK for water quality that are perfect for a summer's day dip by Which?
The beach was even praised for its "excellent" bathing waters.
