A Suffolk pub has uncovered a hidden gem in the midst of renovations and building repairs.
The owners of The Red Lion in Woodbridge has been restoring the Grade II listed pub to preserve its character and "charm".
The renovations had to take place after critters had damaged the plaster, revealing a hoard of history behind the damage.

Hidden beams believed to be around four centuries old, a secret room and the foundations for original windows were found in the process.
The pub had hoped to leave the original beams exposed, but to protect the structure and prevent any further damage, it will be covered.
The Red Lion had two management changes last year, the first by Mike Hall and Jane Aldous in February, who were the pair behind The Ship in Blaxhall, and then Karina and Jo who are at the helm currently.
The pair is getting a historian to age the new findings more accurately, including the secret room at the top of the building.
