A village's most photographed house has been made into a ‘fairytale’ miniature model by a local artist.
Simon Evans has painstakingly recreated Lavenham's famous Crooked House in his latest work.
The artist said: “The Crooked House is a truly fairytale building and it was a joy to spend six months creating it in miniature.
“Of course, the wonderfully wonky angles added an element of extra challenge, but that’s all part of the fun and is what makes this magical house so iconic."
The Crooked House on Lavenham High Street dates from 1395 and is believed to be the inspiration for the old English nursery rhyme ‘There was a Crooked Man’.
Today, the famous house is home to Alex and Oli Khalil-Martin, who call themselves the 'Crooked Men', and host theatrical house tours throughout the summer, bringing to life the house's over 600-year-old story.
Alex, who's lived in the house for five years, said: "We were amazed, it's so brilliantly detailed, and it looks like an actual photograph when you look at it.
"You can see how much Simon enjoys making these models as well. I think he's so passionate about it, and clearly so talented at it, that we were just very honoured that he decided to make one of The Crooked House."

Simon, a hairdresser from Thaxted, took up model making during the pandemic and has since developed remarkable skills, recreating famous East Anglian buildings in miniature.
Alex said he and Oli were "delighted" when contacted by the local scale modeller, whose other works include The Old Sun Inn in Saffron Walden and De Vere House in Lavenham.
Alex discovered the house in 2018 while visiting Lavenham for a weekend away, and said he "really fell in love" with it and thought it would be the dream home to live in.
The Crooked House came up for sale just over a year later, at the same time Alex met his now husband Oli online during lockdown.
Last year Simon spent around 1,000 hours recreating the town's famous 'Harry Potter' house.
