Bungalow on fire in Felixstowe as three crews attend

The roof of a bungalow burst into flames in a seaside town.

Firefighters from Ipswich East and Felixstowe tackled the fire in the home in Upperfield Drive, Felixstowe.

The alarm was raised just before 11.45am on Wednesday morning and three fire engines attended as well as an aerial ladder platform from both Ipswich East and Felixstowe.

Firefighters wore breathing apparatus while tackling the fire, and a stop message declaring the incident under control with no further resources needed was issued at 1.17pm.

A spokesman for the fire service confirmed that no casualties were reported and an inspection of the bungalow is due to take place this afternoon.
