A pop-up restaurant on the edge of the River Alde is serving up a taste of the coast.

Malted Mussel has returned to Snape Maltings, offering seasonal dishes inspired by the Suffolk coastline.

The menu includes salt and pepper squid, skin-on fries, dressed Aldeburgh lobster, Bridlington crab and mussels.

A spokesman for Snape Maltings said: "We're thrilled to announce the return of Malted Mussel this summer – our unique pop-up on the quay serving seasonal food inspired by the Suffolk coast.

"Alongside returning favourites, there’ll be a new selection of daily specials, and we’ve once again partnered with Chapel Down to create the perfect summer setting to relax, take in the view and enjoy great food."

A children’s menu and ice cream are also available.

The bar offers a range of drinks, including Chapel Down sparkling wines, Adnams beers and a selection of soft and alcohol-free options.

Malted Mussel is open Wednesday to Sunday from midday until 7.30pm.

The pop-up is set to remain at Snape Maltings until the end of the month.
