Night-time freight trains are set to run through Leiston as part of Sizewell C construction efforts.
Residents are being advised that these trains, carrying building materials, are expected to begin on September 7.
The initial schedule plans for up to four train movements each night, broadly between midnight and 5am, involving two arrivals and two departures.
Local level crossings along the Sizewell Branch Line will normally need to close for up to five minutes while a train passes and will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.

Sizewell C has acknowledged that even short closures may affect local journeys and is requesting patience from road users.
Sizewell C says transporting materials by rail is part of its aim to deliver 60 per cent of construction materials by rail or sea. The company says this will reduce the number of heavy goods vehicles needed and help limit traffic and emissions on local roads.
The planned September 7 start date is still dependent on final preparatory works, meaning the programme could change.
Residents can check the Sizewell C Works Tracker for the latest information and indicative timetable.
