PETERBOROUGH Speedway will be celebrating its 40th consecutive year in 2009, by producing a commemorative set of 40 cards depicting Panther's who have worn the famous red and black colours of Peterborough between 1970 and 2009.
Each card will feature a different rider who was part of the team for that respective year and will include a variety of leading, popular and long serving riders throughout the Panthers history. They will feature a colour or b&w photo of the relevant rider plus a brief description of the years he raced for the Peterborough Panthers.
The cards will be given away free to supporters with every Elite League match programme. Only 1000 of each card will be produced and they will be available on a strictly first come first served basis, and they are sure to become collector's items very quickly.
Plans are in place to produce a special photo frame which will house the collection and this will be available from the track shop later in the year.
