The A1101 in Kenny Hill has reopened following a collision between two cars this afternoon.

Suffolk police were called to the crash in Mildenhall Drove, near to the Kennyhill Drove junction, between a blue Ford KA and a black Vauxhall Omega, around 3.30pm. The road reopened at 9.29pm.

Police said the collision was head-on, with one vehicle, believed to have been the KA, driven by a female, ending up in a ditch.

The Omega was driven by a male.

Fire engines from Mildenhall and Ely attended the incident. The female was extricated from the vehicle by firefighters, and taken to hospital by the ambulance service.

The male was also taken to hospital.

It was originally thought the female had potentially serious injuries, however it was later reported both drivers had suffered minor injuries.
