A14 closed after crash between lorry and pedestrian

The A14 has been closed in both directions due to a serious incident in Bury St Edmunds between a lorry and a pedestrian.

Police were called at 8.15pm to reports of the collision and have closed the road whilst they deal with the incident.

Highways England have confirmed that the road is closed between junctions 43 and 44, but estimate that it will reopen at around midnight.

Other traffic sites estimate it could be cleared by 11pm.

Keep an eye on traffic and any diversions.
