THE A140 near the Suffolk/Norfolk border is blocked this evening after an accident involving a tractor.

Hundreds of people were without power and the A140 was closed after a tractor brought down overhead lines on the A140 near Pulham Market this evening.

Engineers from EDF Energy worked to repair the damage and restore power to 850 homes in Pulham Market and Tivetshall St Mary.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were also on scene to support the engineers.

An EDF Energy spokesman said: “Our engineers are on site working to restore power as quickly and as safely as possible and we apologise for the inconvenience this has caused.”
