Foodies from across the country gathered this weekend to enjoy the smells and tastes of the annual Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival.
The festival, which is now in it’s 13th year, hoped to promote the quality and variety of food and drink available from Suffolk.
Hundreds of food producers from across the county and beyond returned to the two day festival at Snape Maltings to meet with visitors and discuss and sell their own unique produce.
With a ‘start up’ area specifically focusing on new and young producers in from the region.
The festival welcomed a number of special guests to this year’s event: with a vast number of chefs and food writers representing all types of cuisine.
For many the highlight of the weekend was the arrival of Great British Bake Off judge Prue Leith.
Ms Leith spoke to chef and food writer Thomasina Miers about her life as well as giving her cooking tips and favourite recipes to those who were gathered on Saturday lunchtime.
Also at the festival was author, vlogger and Bake-Off 2014 contestant Chetna Makan who expressed her delight at visiting the festival on Twitter.

Masterchef 2018 winner Kenny Tutt was also at the festival giving a talk on the East of England Co-Op stage.
As well as tv stars there were talks from a number of local chefs including James Barber, head chef at The White Lion Hotel in Aldeburgh and Chris Lee, the head chef at the Bildeston Crown.
For those wanting to have a go themselves masterclasses were held across the weekend covering everything from Vietnamese food to chocolate tasting.
Adnams returned with their Drinks Experience which offered a range of talks, tastings and demonstrations.
For parents the hillfarm family meadow area had a number of attractions for youngsters to enjoy.
Those wanting to go back to basics headed to the Wild Suffolk area where everything from foraging to east coast fish was on the menu.
Jess Brown, one of the organisers of the festival said that the event had gone well.
“It was amazing. We had a record breaking Saturday and we had fantastic weather.”
On the event’s special guest Ms Brown said that Prue Leith “was a true professional” and had taken time to speak to people and wander around the festival.
