AN illustrious sporting duo helped the next generation of fledgling tennis stars learn some valuable skills on a Suffolk court.
French Open champion and Wimbledon finalist, Christine Janes joined daughter, and former touring pro, Amanda, for a day of skills coaching in Aldeburgh.
The event followed two years of collaborative work between local benefactors, public bodies, community tennis players and Aldeburgh Town Council, to bring facilities up to an excellent standard, including four all weather courts - two with floodlights - available to club members and the public.
The work took place alongside a community initiative led by Christine Janes to foster development of local juniors attending regularly on Saturday mornings for free coaching.
