The incident took place on Catchpole Close at some point between March 25 at 4pm and March 26 at 7.30pm.
Offenders broke into outdoor aviaries at the property and took 20 canaries and some miniature quail.
Police are hoping to hear from anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area between these times.
Those with information should contact Suffolk Constbulary on 101 quoting crime reference number 37/17059/18.
