Man arrested in connection with Co-op robberies in Essex

A man has been arrested by officers investigating a number of robberies at Co-op stores in north Essex.

The 28-year-old man from Romford was arrested on Sunday, April 8, as part of a police inquiry into a spate of raids.

Two of the offences the man has been arrested on suspicion of committing happened in Clacton-on-Sea on April 2 and Chelmsford on April 3.

A number of other robberies are also been looked at, police said.
