A west Suffolk pre-school’s campaign to raise £200,000 for a new building has received a festive boost from an award-winning artist.
Tor Freeman, children’s author and illustrator, has designed an exclusive set of Christmas cards to raise money for Horringer Pre-school’s Acorn Project. Tor, who was the recent winner of the Observer graphic short story prize, said: “I loved designing these cards.
“I have seen how wonderfully caring and supportive the pre-school has been towards my goddaughter Jemima. It is a privilege to be able to help them raise the money they need for a new building.”
Stephie Page, pre-school manager, said: “We are thrilled with these adorable cards and very grateful to Tor for donating her time and creativity for free - the pre-school squirrel has never looked so cute.”
The pre-school are selling the cards (priced at £4 for a pack of ten or three packs for £10) via their website www.horringerpreschool.co.uk
