A SIX month old baby has been airlifted to hospital following a road collision in Brentwood this morning.
Police were called at 11.05am to Ongar Road, near the junction with Doddinghurst Road, where a silver Volkswagen Polo was in collision with a woman pushing a pushchair.
The mother was not injured but was airlifted with her baby, who is in a critical condition, to the Royal London Hospital.
The driver of the car, a 75-year-old woman from the Brentwood area, is currently speaking with police officers to give a first account of the incident.
