POLICE in Barbados have named a man charged with shooting a Suffolk couple on a world cruise holiday who were robbed during a stopover on the island.
Ann Prior, 59, and Philip Prior, 72, of Bedfield, near Framlingham, were attacked in Bridgetown on March 17. Mr Prior was shot on his left side and his wife was shot in her right thigh.
Junior Orlando Hunte, 28, of Rices, St Philip, Barbados, has been charged with robbing Mrs Prior and causing serious bodily harm to Mr and Mrs Prior.
A second man, Marlon Gooding, 35, of Union, St Philip, Barbados, has been charged with robbing Mrs Prior.
They appeared at the Oistins Magistrate Court and were remanded in custody.
