Barking: Woman flown to hospital with serious injuries

A WOMAN has been left with serious injuries after a head on collision with another vehicle.

Police were alerted to the crash on the B1078 at Barking, outside Needham Market, following a crash between two cars.

A spokesman for Suffolk Police said a woman, who is believed to have been travelling in a Mini, had suffered life-changing or life-threatening injuries.

He said this was believed to be due to her age.

The air ambulance attended the scene, along with fire crews.

The road remains closed while Suffolk police’s Serious Collision Investigation Team work to establish how the collision happened.

Anyone with information is asked to call the team on 101.
