IPSWICH's Troy Batchelor guests in place of Mads Korneliussen for Peterborough in Monday's match against Swindon after Korneliussen has again been ruled out through injury.

Batchelor, who initially started the season with the Swindon Robins, was dropped after he was injured and now rides for the Ipswich Witches and it's understood he is quite keen to ride against his former team after Panthers called him and offered him the chance.

Batchelor will ride at No.5 for the Panthers and they will be operating rider replacement for the absent Claus Vissing at No.2.

Panthers will be hoping Batchelor can produce a similar performance to the one Darcy Ward produced on Thursday against the Belle Vue Aces, Ward scored paid 16 after breaking the track record in heat one. Supporters had been asking if Ward could ride for the Panthers against Swindon but Ward was always ineligible to ride Monday under the eight day rule.

Mick Bratley said: “Troy won't need any bigger incentive to do well on Monday than facing Swindon. They are desperate for points to finish top of the league and he will be only too pleased to burst their bubble.

“He was released by Swindon after being injured and I know that he feels hard done by. It was one of those decisions made by Swindon that could come back to haunt them. Monday could be that day.”

In addition there has been a change to the meeting official. Mrs Margaret Vardy replaces Chris Gay as the SCB Referee for tomorrow night's meeting.
