A reward of £1,000 is being offered for information after a large quantity was stolen in Beccles.

It happened between 8am and 7pm on May 26 at a house in Ravensmere East.

The items taken included necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings and brooches, as well as more unusual pieces such as a dress tiara with red stones and pearls, a silver and amber cigarette holder, a gold plated cigarette case and an antique carved dark wood jewellery chest.

Now the owner of the items is offering a £1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the burglar or burglars responsible.

Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area on Tuesday, May 26, anyone who may have information about who broke in, or anyone who may have offered items of jewellery for sale since is asked to contact Dc Lee Cudmore at Waveney CID by calling Suffolk police on 101.
