A third day without power is ahead for some communities in Suffolk and North Essex.
UK Power Networks have managed to reconnect several thousand customers to the network overnight but some people are still having to cope without heat, light and electricity.
In Suffolk there are around 7,300 properties which are powerless while in the whole of Essex the figure is 6,700.
