FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze at a house in Ipswich overnight.
Four crews from Princes Street and Colchester Road attended the three-storey property in St Helen's Street at about 10.30pm yesterday. It was initially believed someone was in the property but on arrival, this was not the case.
It is thought the fire started on the ground floor, near the main fuse box.
The teams extinguished the flames and ventilated both the house and the upstairs of the shop next door. The incident was over by 12.10am today.
Fire officers returned to the scene this morning to investigate it further and concluded that it was not suspicious.
