A 38-YEAR-OLD man has been taken to hospital with possible life-changing injuries following a quad bike accident.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said the man had been riding a quad bike in Lakeside Rise in Blundeston today when it hit the verge and flipped over.
Police were notified of the accident by the ambulance service at 4pm saying the patient was lying injured in the middle of the road after hitting his head.
The man, from Blundeston, was not wearing a helmet, the police spokesman said, but they are not obligatory for quad bikes.
The casualty was taken to hospital by land ambulance. Police closed the road, but it is not thought to have caused any traffic problems.
