Blundeston: Man suffers serious injuries as car ploughs into garden

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after crash left a 71-year-old man with serious injuries.

The victim was in a garden at Lound Road in Blundeston around 5.40pm yesterday when the driver of a VW Touran lost control of his vehicle and the car mounted the verge and went into the garden, where it collided with the 71-year-old.

The injured man was taken to the James Paget hospital and was found to have sustained a fractured pelvis.

A man and a woman in the VW were uninjured.

Police are investigating exactly what happened and are appealing for anyone who may have seen the vehicle prior to the collision or the incident itself to call PC Jon Doran at Halesworth Road Policing Unit on 101.
