POLICE believe the body is that of missing Lowestoft man.
POLICE today found the body of a man, believed to missing Lowestoft 45-year-old Steven Carter.
The body was found this afternoon hanging from a tree near the A143 close to the village of Wortham, near Diss, and although formal identification has yet to take place, officers believe it to be Mr Carter, who was reported missing on Thursday.
A police spokesman said: “At this stage there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances but, as standard procedure, the death is currently being treated as unexplained, pending further enquiries.
“A post mortem will take place and the death has been referred to the coroner.”
