POLICE and explosive experts were called out to Frinton after fears were raised that a war-time bomb had been unearthed.
Emergency services were called to Third Avenue at just after 11am today when the discovery was made in a garden shed.
Royal Logistic Corps bomb disposal experts from Colchester also went to the scene but discovered it was an empty World War I shell. They then took it away to be properly disposed.
