BOMB disposal experts are expected to safely blow up an explosive device tomorrow that was found tonight just off the Essex coast.

No details of the bomb are currently available but a spokesman for Thames Coastguard said it was discovered around 6pm by a small fishing vessel 6km out to sea near Burnham-on-Crouch.

He said it was safely on the sea bed floor and they were awaiting bomb disposal experts for an explosion tomorrow.

It comes just a few weeks after a Second World War bomb was found off the coast of Felixstowe.
