A 68-YEAR-OLD man was taken to hospital after being found lying in a field.
The air ambulance was called to a man who was suffering from suspected hypothermia and was found in a field next to Mill Lane, Botesdale at 9am yesterday morning.
The air ambulance’s crew of Dr Gran Corcoran and critical care paramedics Colin Charlton assessed the patient and then started to warm him using a special heat blanket.
They also initiated treatment to help rehydrate him before taking to the West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds in an EEAST road ambulance.
His condition on arrival was stable.
