POLICE in Essex are appealing for witnesses after a road collision in Colchester in which a 13-year-old boy was seriously injured.
POLICE in Essex are appealing for witnesses after a road collision in Colchester in which a 13-year-old boy was seriously injured.
The incident, which involved a car and a pedestrian, happened in Bourne Road at about 4.45pm on yesterday.
The boy, who is from the Colchester area, received serious head injuries and was taken to Colchester General Hospital.
The car involved was a blue Ford Fiesta driven by a 23-year-old man also from Colchester.
Bourne Road was closed for about three hours while police carried out their initial investigation.
Anyone who saw the collision, or saw the pedestrian or car before the incident, should contact the Stanway Road Policing Unit on 0300 333 4444.
