POPSTAR Boy George was today convicted of falsely imprisoning a male escort.
A jury at Snaresbrook Crown Court returned a guilty verdict on the singer, being tried under his real name of George O'Dowd.
Audun Carlsen, 29, said the 46-year-old beat him with a metal chain as he tried to escape his flat after a naked photo shoot.
O'Dowd told police he handcuffed Mr Carlsen to his bed at his flat in Shoreditch on April 28 last year while he investigated alleged tampering with his computer.
The case was adjourned for sentence on January 16.
O'Dowd was told that a period of custody was likely. He was released on bail.
