A 16-YEAR-old had to be rescued by coastguards after a police search led them to a beach.
The teenager, who was suffering from exhaustion and mild hyperthermia, was believed to be on the beach at The Naze, Walton in Essex.
Walton Coastguard Rescue Team conducted a search of the coast and The Naze area whilst Essex Police conducted further enquires with the boy’s family.
The youngster was found on The Naze by coastguards. Paramedics were called in to treat him.
The incident occurred around 6.30pm yesterday.
