A 10-YEAR-old boy had to be rescued from the roof of Woodbridge railway station today by firefighters.
A crew with a turntable ladder from Colchester Road fire station, in Ipswich, was sent to the scene after the youngster had managed to clamber on to the roof. The drama happened just after 4.50pm.
Elsewhere a fire crew tackled a straw blaze in New Road, Framlingham, which began at 3.30pm.
Five tonnes of straw had caught alight in a field.
