Firefighters called to put out a fire in Brandon believe it was started deliberately. Four fire engines were sent out after the alarm was raised at Elizabeth Road in Brandon at 11.20am today.
The fire started with rubbish alight in the garden which spread first to the fence and then to the house.
An investigation was carried out at the scene by fire officers who believe it was started on purpose.
The incident was under control by 1.13pm. All services to the house have had to be disconnected as a result of the incident.
