Police were called to reports of a broken down lorry on the Orwell Bridge shortly after 2.30pm this afternoon.
A police spokesperson said that lane one of the bridge was now open after being closed for the recovery of the vehicle.
Huge delays have been reported in the area as far back as Seven Hills.
