Police are renewing an appeal for information after a man acted indecently to a woman at the river’s edge at Wilford Bridge, Bromeswell on Wednesday August 14.
The woman was walking her dogs along the river wall close to the informal parking area off Common Lane in Bromeswell at around 7.30pm when she saw a man standing in reeds. A few minutes later the woman decided to head back and turned around and saw the man on the river bank acting in an indecent manner. The woman reached into her bag for her phone and the man fled. He headed towards the car park and then away on foot down Common Lane towards Bromeswell.
Police would like to trace the man who is described as aged in his 40s, of ‘chunky’ build, around 5ft 6ins tall, with dark neck-length hair and a full dark beard, who was wearing a white top and khaki coloured shorts.
Any witnesses or anyone with information can call PC Judith Oliver at Woodbridge on 101.
