THE Silver Ski Rockets will look to clinch their place in the quarter-finals of the Knock-Out Cup when they entertain Birmingham at Rye House on Saturday.

It's fair to say that the Brummies have made a very disappointing start to the season.

Any hopes of reaching a third straight Premier Trophy Final have evaporated as three home defeats have left them marooned at the foot of the Southern group.

They are now also in danger of exiting the Cup at the very first hurdle following Rye's 47-43 victory at Perry Bar last Wednesday.

The Rockets will nevertheless be taking absolutely nothing for granted given the Brummies' powerful spearhead of former double overseas champion and World Cup winner Jason Lyons and Polish ironman Tomasz Picsz, who pumped out 17 points when the sides met in Hoddesdon in March.

Also in their line-up are the likes of 2008 World U21 finalist Ludvig Lindgren, former Isle of Wight Islander Richard Sweetman and 2008 Rocket - and current Kart Raceway Cobra - Danny Halsey.

The action gets underway at 7pm.
