A POLICE helicopter was launched after burglars targeted the same home in quiet Suffolk village twice in the past 12 days.

Two men were disturbed inside a house in Culford Road, Fornham St Martin around 12.55pm today, having smashed a window to break in.

The men ran off through a back gate and then through the garden of a property on Lark Valley Drive.

They are described as white, in their 20s and both were of slim build.

One was wearing jeans and a dark blue top and the other was wearing light coloured jeans.

Police are linking the crime to a burglary at the same home on Friday, July 23, when a man was disturbed outside the house having forced entry and moved items into the occupant’s car.

The man was described as white, in his late teens, 6ft tall, of slim, muscular build with short blond hair and blue eyes.

He was wearing a black T-shirt, navy jeans, black rubber gloves and dirty white trainers.

An EFIT likeness was issued of a man police want to speak to about the July incident, and officers also want to speak to him in relation to this afternoon’s incident.

Anyone with any information concerning either burglary should call west Suffolk CID on 01284 774100 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
