A burglar stole a mobile phone and £80 cash while his victims lay asleep upstairs.
Residents at the property in Hospital Road, Bury St Edmunds were woken at about 2.30am this morning by a noise downstairs.
On going to investigate, they found a light had been switched on and a door left open.
The thief had gained entry to the house via an unlocked door and stole an HTC Wildfire mobile phone, as well as a purse containing £80 cash and a bank card.
