FIRE crews were this afternoon sent out after a fire was reported in the chimney of a pub.
Units from Bury St Edmunds, Wickhambrook, and Clare were sent to the thatched Plough Public House in Rede, near Bury.
When they arrived at about 2.30pm, they found the chimney “well alight” and used chimney gear and hoses to contain the fire.
A spokesman for the service said the blaze had only affected the chimney.
