Greene King’s summer food and drink festival is back for its fifth year, offering more than 50 food and drink producers, demonstrations and children’s entertainment.

The event in Bury St Edmunds, at the brewer’s Westgate Street site, opens on the evening of Friday, June 13, and is on during the day on June 14 and 15.

The festival will showcase Greene King brews, along with more than 20 other beers from local breweries.

The food and drink producers will be offering tastings and demonstrations and there will also be craft stalls.

In the evenings the festival will offer a variety of paid-for events, including outdoors gigs and a comedy night.

On the Friday there will be live music in the Greene King gardens from the 6Ts, a 60s covers band, with Queen tribute band, Queen B, entertaining the following evening.

On the Sunday the social club will be hosting a comedy night headlined by Radio 4 comedian Mitch Benn who will be showcasing his Edinburgh Fringe act.

Greene King brewing and brands marketing director, Dom South, said: “We are delighted to host this fantastic celebration of regional food and drink for the fifth year running.

“Come along and sample the delicious real ales and tempting bites on offer, then kick back with live music and top entertainment later into the evening.”

The festival will be held in the gardens of the Greene King brewery from 10am to 5pm on both the Saturday and Sunday.

There will be some parking available.
