A MAN has been arrested after an attempted armed robbery at Thurlow Champness and Son jewellers in Bury St Edmunds.
The 32-year-old man from Islington was arrested this morning in London by Suffolk police officers on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery.
The arrest follows a raid at the jewellers in Abbeygate Street, Bury on Monday morning.
The man is being held at a police station in London and inquiries are continuing.
